Ordering Your In-store Refills
The easiest ways to access the service for In-store Refills on our site:
- Click the Pharmacy Counter tab at the top of any page
- Click In-store Refills on the Pharmacy Counter banner on the home page
On the Pharmacy Counter page, enter your prescription (Rx) number and the CVS/pharmacy store number. You can order up to 6 prescription refills from the same store. If you need help locating either the Rx number or the store number, there is a helpful link with an example of prescription labels. The store number tells us where you to send your refill request. You will also need to provide your phone number so that we can contact you directly with any questions about your order.
Paying for Your In-store Refills
No credit card or shipping information is required because you pay for your order in-store. If you have prescription insurance, you will most likely only be responsible for the copayment required by your insurance company. If you do not have prescription insurance, check with your CVS/pharmacy store directly to find out about the cost of your in-store prescription refill. CVS.com prices apply only to refills for mail delivery.
Picking Up Your In-store Refills
Please allow at least 2 hours for our pharmacists to process your prescription refills at the store. Some orders may require more processing time, especially if you placed your order at night or over the weekend. It may also take longer to fill your order if we need to contact your health care provider. Before going to pick up your prescription, we suggest that you call your CVS/pharmacy store to verify that your order is ready.
If you have questions about your in-store refill order, please call the CVS/pharmacy store using the pharmacy phone number listed in your confirmation email or in the Order Status & History section of Your Account. Please have your label handy so that you can give the pharmacist the prescription number when you call.
