What is this Medicine?

BROMPHENIRAMINE; DEXTROMETHORPHAN; PSEUDOEPHEDRINE (brome fen IR a meen; dex troe meth OR fan; soo doe e FED rin) is an antihistamine, cough suppressant, and decongestant. It can help relieve cough, runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, and itchy or watery eyes. This medicine is used to treat allergy and cold symptoms. It will not treat an infection.

Alcohol and CNS Depressants(Brompheniramine Maleate)
Avoid alcohol-containing drinks while taking this medicine. Using this drug along with alcohol can lead to serious side effects. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this drug affects you, and especially if you are drinking alcohol-containing beverages. If you notice slurred speech, confusion, severe weakness, or difficulty breathing, contact your health care provider immediately.

Caffeine-containing Foods/Beverages and Histacol BD 1mg-3mg-12.5mg/ml Drops(Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride)
Caffeine-containing Foods/Beverages and Pseudoephedrine(Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride)
Limit caffeine intake (examples: coffee, teas, colas, chocolate and some herbal supplements) while taking Pseudoephedrine. Also avoid medicines containing additional Caffeine whenever possible. Side effects from Pseudoephedrine may get worse if you take excessive Caffeine. Taking a high amount of Caffeine can increase the risk of nausea, nervousness, palpitations, problems with sleep, rapid heartbeat, tremor, or other side effects.
Minor Lifestyle Interaction
Grapefruit juice and Histacol BD 1mg-3mg-12.5mg/ml Drops(Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide)
Grapefruit juice and Dextromethorphan(Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide)
Grapefruit juice may increase the actions of Dextromethorphan. Side effects from the Dextromethorphan may get worse if you drink grapefruit juice. It may be best to avoid drinking grapefruit juice while you are taking Dextromethorphan.
