What is this Medicine?

PHYTONADIONE (fye toe na DYE one) is a man-made form of vitamin K. This medicine is used to treat vitamin K deficiency or bleeding problems caused by various disorders. This medicine is also given to newborn babies to prevent bleeding.

FIRST Trimester

Class C - Animal studies have shown an adverse effect and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR No animal studies have been conducted and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.

SECOND Trimester
