What is this Medicine?

AZELASTINE (a ZEL as teen) nasal spray is a histamine blocker. It helps to relieve itching, running and stuffiness in the nose. This medicine is used to treat nasal symptoms from allergies and other irritants.

Alcohol and Azelastine Hydrochloride(Azelastine Hydrochloride)
You may feel drowsy or more tired if you have alcohol-containing drinks while taking Antihistamines. Antihistamines are found in many allergy, cough, and hay fever products (examples: Benadryl, Dimetapp Allergy, Tavist Allergy, Zyrtec, and others). Many non-prescription cough and cold products may contain Antihistamines; carefully read labels. Decreased alertness, drowsiness, falls, or other side effects may occur. Do not drive or operate machinery if you are drinking alcohol-containing beverages. Eye products containing Azelastine should not interact with alcohol.
