What is this Medicine?

CHLORPHENIRAMINE; HYDROCODONE; PHENYLEPHRINE (klor fen IR a meen; hye droe KOE done; fen il EF rin) is a cough and cold medicine. It helps to relieve a runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and cough. It also helps to reduce congestion or stuffy nose. This medicine is used to treat the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections. It medicine will not treat an infection.

Alcohol and CNS Depressants(Hydrocodone Bitartrate)
Avoid alcohol-containing drinks while taking this medicine. Using this drug along with alcohol can lead to serious side effects. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this drug affects you, and especially if you are drinking alcohol-containing beverages. If you notice slurred speech, confusion, severe weakness, or difficulty breathing, contact your health care provider immediately.

Grapefruit juice and Hydrocodone(Hydrocodone Bitartrate)
Side effects from Hydrocodone may get worse if you eat or drink grapefruit juice. Talk to your doctor first. Contact your doctor right away if you have slurred speech, confusion, weakness, or trouble breathing. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this affects you.
Moderate Lifestyle Interaction
Caffeine-containing Foods/Beverages and Atuss MS 2mg-5mg-10mg/5ml Solution(Phenylephrine Hydrochloride)
Caffeine-containing Foods/Beverages and Phenylephrine(Phenylephrine Hydrochloride)
Limit caffeine intake (examples: coffee, teas, colas, chocolate and some herbal supplements) while taking Phenylephrine. Also avoid medicines containing additional Caffeine whenever possible. Side effects from Phenylephrine may get worse if you take excessive Caffeine. Taking a high amount of Caffeine can increase the risk of nausea, nervousness, palpitations, problems with sleep, rapid heartbeat, tremor, or other side effects.

FIRST Trimester
