It is recommended to avoid alcoholic beverages while taking vortioxetine. Many over-the-counter medications also contain significant amounts of alcohol; therefore check the label or ask your pharmacist. Do not drive or operate machinery if you have been drinking alcoholic beverages or taking other medications that increase your drowsiness.
