Alcohol and Bupropion(Bupropion Hydrochloride)
Alcoholic beverages should be limited or avoided while taking Bupropion. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together, or side effects from Bupropion may get worse if you take Alcohol. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how these drugs affect you. If you frequently drink alcoholic beverages, discuss the use of Bupropion with your health care provider.

In general, the combination of Bupropion with Nicotine (found in Tobacco) may increase the risk of high blood pressure, so avoid smoking Tobacco while taking Bupropion. If you are taking Bupropion to help you stop smoking, you should pick a date to stop Tobacco smoking by the second week of your Bupropion treatment. Some people are prescribed a combination of Bupropion with Nicotine replacement therapy (like Nicotine patches) to stop smoking; in this case you should stop Tobacco smoking before you start using the Nicotine treatment.

Caffeine-containing Foods/Beverages and Bupropion(Bupropion Hydrochloride)
Side effects from Bupropion may get worse if you consume large quantities of caffeine. Side effects such as nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness, increased blood pressure, seizures and other side effects may get worse if you take Bupropion and Caffeine together. Try to limit Caffeine intake (examples: coffee, teas, colas, chocolate and some herbal supplements).

FIRST Trimester

Class X - Adequate well-controlled or observational studies in animals or pregnant women have demonstrated positive evidence of fetal abnormalities or risks. The use of the product is contraindicated in women who are or may become pregnant.
