What is this Medicine?

ETIDRONATE (e ti DROE nate) reduces calcium loss from bone. It helps make healthy bone and slows bone loss in people with Paget's disease. It may also be used in people with heterotropic ossification or high blood calcium.

Major Lifestyle Interaction
Food and Didronel 200mg Tablet(Etidronate Disodium)
Food and Etidronate Disodium(Etidronate Disodium)
Do not take Etidronate at the same time as any food or drink that contains high levels of calcium. (Examples of food that have high levels of calcium: dairy products, beans, spinach, fortified cereals, salmon, and greens.) Taking Etidronate with food or drinks that have calcium will decrease the actions of the drug. Take Etidronate at least 2 hours before or after any food or beverage that has high levels of calcium.

Class C - Animal studies have shown an adverse effect and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR No animal studies have been conducted and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
