Alcohol and Ionic Contrast Media(Gadoterate meglumine)
Although these can interact, Ionic Contrast Agents are only used in a hospital or clinic during various imaging procedures. Sometimes, Contrast Agents are injected into your spinal fluid through your back (called intrathecally). If you drink alcoholic beverages on a regular basis, you could be at increased risk for seizures if a Contrast Agent is given through your back. If you frequently drink alcoholic beverages, discuss the use of Contrast Agents with your health care provider before any exams or procedures.
