Tobacco and Exelon 1.5mg Capsule(Rivastigmine Tartrate)
Tobacco and Rivastigmine Tartrate(Rivastigmine Tartrate)
In theory, Tobacco smoking may reduce the effectiveness of Rivastigmine; Tobacco smoke contains substances that speed the removal of Rivastigmine from the body; however, interactions have not been reported. Alternatively, if you take Rivastigmine and suddenly stop Tobacco smoking, in theory you might experience side effects from Rivastigmine like abdominal or stomach pain, nausea, severe vomiting, or weight loss. Make sure your prescriber is aware that you smoke Tobacco or if you plan to stop smoking.
Pregnancy & Lactation Information
FIRST Trimester

Class B - Animal studies have revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus, however, there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.

SECOND Trimester

Class B - Animal studies have revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus, however, there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
