What is this medicine?
GUAIFENESIN (gwye FEN e sin) is an expectorant. It helps to thin mucous and make coughs more productive. This medicine is used to treat coughs caused by colds or the flu. It is not intended to treat chronic cough caused by smoking, asthma, emphysema, or heart failure.

Great if I could get it reliably
Unfortunately Oral syrup with only guafenesin is hard to find. Sometimes it's sold online and sometimes not. Often sold out at drug stores. I've had to go to 4 or even 5 stores to find it. Wish I had a reliable supply, either in stores or online. I can't swallow mucinex pills.
