Moderate Lifestyle Interaction
Grapefruit juice and Invirase 200mg Capsule(Saquinavir Mesylate)
Grapefruit juice and Saquinavir(Saquinavir Mesylate)
Although an interaction is possible, in most patients it is not significant. Grapefruit juice and grapefruit-containing foods may increase the side effects of Saquinavir. Do not significantly alter grapefruit juice intake while taking this drug, or avoid grapefruit juice if possible.
Moderate Lifestyle Interaction
Marijuana and Invirase 200mg Capsule(Saquinavir Mesylate)
Marijuana and Protease inhibitors(Saquinavir Mesylate)
Although an interaction is possible, these drugs may be used together. In therory, side effects from Marijuana, Medical may get worse if you take Anti-retroviral protease inhibitors. However, the importance of this interaction is not known. Notify your health care provider if you notice increased fatigue, nausea, vomiting, or any other unusual effects.
Pregnancy & Lactation Information
FIRST Trimester

Class B - Animal studies have revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus, however, there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.

SECOND Trimester

Class B - Animal studies have revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus, however, there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.

THIRD Trimester

Class B - Animal studies have revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus, however, there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.

Lactation

Avoid - This drug is known to cause harm to infants when taken by nursing mothers.
