What is this Medicine?

FOSAMPRENAVIR (FOS am pren a veer) is an antiretroviral medicine. It is used with other medicines to treat HIV. This medicine is not a cure for HIV. It will not stop the spread of HIV to others.

Moderate Lifestyle Interaction
Marijuana and Lexiva 700mg Tablet(Fosamprenavir Calcium)
Marijuana and Protease inhibitors(Fosamprenavir Calcium)
Although an interaction is possible, these drugs may be used together. In therory, side effects from Marijuana, Medical may get worse if you take Anti-retroviral protease inhibitors. However, the importance of this interaction is not known. Notify your health care provider if you notice increased fatigue, nausea, vomiting, or any other unusual effects.
Minor Lifestyle Interaction
Grapefruit juice and Lexiva 700mg Tablet(Fosamprenavir Calcium)
Grapefruit juice and Fosamprenavir Calcium(Fosamprenavir Calcium)
Although an interaction is possible, it is usually okay to drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruits while taking Fosamprenavir. In theory, side effects from Fosamprenavir such as diarrhea, headache, or rash might get worse if you drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruits, but significant interactions have not been reported. Do not greatly alter your normal grapefruit and grapefruit juice intake while taking Fosamprenavir.
