What is this Medicine?

CHLORPHENIRAMINE; DIHYDROCODEINE; PHENYLEPHRINE (klor fen IR a meen; dye hye droe KOE deen; fen il EF rin) is an antihistamine, cough suppressant, decongestant combination. It is used to treat cough and congestion. This medicine will not treat an infection.

Alcohol and Dihydrocodeine Bitartrate(Dihydrocodeine Bitartrate)
Avoid alcohol-containing drinks while taking products that contain Dihydrocodeine. Side effects from the drug may get worse if you drink alcohol-containing drinks. Serious side effects such as excessive sedation, confusion, or coma may result if alcohol is taken with Dihydrocodeine.

Alcohol and CNS Depressants(Chlorpheniramine Maleate)
Avoid alcohol-containing drinks while taking this medicine. Using this drug along with alcohol can lead to serious side effects. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this drug affects you, and especially if you are drinking alcohol-containing beverages. If you notice slurred speech, confusion, severe weakness, or difficulty breathing, contact your health care provider immediately.
Moderate Lifestyle Interaction
Caffeine-containing Foods/Beverages and Baltussin 3mg-20mg-5mg/5ml Solution(Phenylephrine Hydrochloride)
Caffeine-containing Foods/Beverages and Phenylephrine(Phenylephrine Hydrochloride)
Limit caffeine intake (examples: coffee, teas, colas, chocolate and some herbal supplements) while taking Phenylephrine. Also avoid medicines containing additional Caffeine whenever possible. Side effects from Phenylephrine may get worse if you take excessive Caffeine. Taking a high amount of Caffeine can increase the risk of nausea, nervousness, palpitations, problems with sleep, rapid heartbeat, tremor, or other side effects.

FIRST Trimester

Class C - Animal studies have shown an adverse effect and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR No animal studies have been conducted and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.

SECOND Trimester
