What is this Medicine?

BROMOCRIPTINE (broe moe KRIP teen) comes from a group of medicines called ergot alkaloids. This medicine is useful in treating menstrual and fertility problems and symptoms caused by certain cancers. It is also used to treat Parkinson's disease and people who have too much growth hormone.

Try to avoid alcoholic beverages while taking Bromocriptine. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking Alcohol with Bromocriptine. Do not stand or sit up too quickly as you may become dizzy or feel faint. Also, do not drive or operate machinery until you know how these drugs affect you. Side effects like throbbing headache, flushing of the face, weakness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and blurred vision may occur in some people who combine Alcohol with Bromocriptine.
