What is this Medicine?

CINACALCET (sin a CAL set) is used to treat patients with chronic kidney disease who are on dialysis. It is also used to treat high levels of calcium in the blood of patients with certain parathyroid gland problems.

Grapefruit juice and Sensipar 30mg Tablet(Cinacalcet Hydrochloride)
Grapefruit juice and Cinacalcet Hydrochloride(Cinacalcet Hydrochloride)
Do not take Cinacalcet with grapefruit juice. Grapefruit juice and grapefruit-containing foods may increase the effects of Cinacalcet. Contact your prescriber immediately if you experience burning, numbness, pricking, tickling or tingling of the face, lips, tongue, hands or feet, muscle aches or pains, muscle cramps of the back and legs, difficulty swallowing, irritability, confusion, hallucinations or convulsions or seizures while taking Cinacalcet.
Pregnancy & Lactation Information
FIRST Trimester

Class C - Animal studies have shown an adverse effect and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR No animal studies have been conducted and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.

SECOND Trimester
