Overview Information on Viagra
Pharmacist Tip
Always practice safe sex. Viagra does not protect you or your partner from sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV--the virus that causes AIDS.
Viagra® is a prescription medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Viagra helps a man's body respond to sexual stimulation. Viagra does not reverse or cure ED.

Viagra works by relaxing blood vessels and allowing more blood to flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which results in an erection. Viagra will not cause an erection to happen without sexual stimulation.

Viagra belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors. Viagra is a brand name for sildenafil.
