What is this Medicine?

VARICELLA VIRUS VACCINE (var uh SEL uh VAHY ruhs vak SEEN) is used to prevent infections of chickenpox.

HERPES ZOSTER VIRUS VACCINE (HUR peez ZOS ter vahy ruhs vak SEEN) is used to prevent shingles in adults 50 years old and over. This vaccine is not used to treat shingles or nerve pain from shingles.

These medicines may be used for other purposes; ask your health care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

Storage Information
Protect from light
Discard vaccine if stored between 36 to 46 degrees F and not used within 72 hours of removal from 5 degrees F storage
Product may be stored at refrigerator temperature (36 to 46 degrees F) for up to 72 continuous hours prior to reconstitution
Store unreconstituted vaccine frozen at temperature between -58 to 5 degrees F
Do not freeze reconstituted product
Discard reconstituted product if not used within 30 minutes
Store diluent separately at room temperature (68 to 77 degrees F) or in the refrigerator (36 to 46 degrees F)
