Plan B One-StepPlan B One-Step is available at your CVS/pharmacy without a prescription if you are 17 years of age or older. (Patients 16 years and younger will need prescriptions from their health care providers.) The sooner you take Plan B, the better your odds of preventing pregnancy.

Emergency contraception can prevent pregnancy after you've had sex without birth control or after your birth control method has failed. Depending on where you are in your cycle, your chances of becoming pregnant from one episode of intercourse can be as high as 30 percent. Using emergency contraception can reduce your risk of pregnancy by up to 89 percent.
