Each dose of CVS/pharmacy grape-flavored Children's Chest Congestion liquid: delivers congestion relief in a great-tasting liquid; breaks up the mucus that causes congestion; alcohol free. Each teaspoon contains sodium (3 mg).

Active Ingredient (in each 5 ml tsp): Guaifenesin, USP (100 mg). Inactive Ingredients: Acesulfame Potassium, Citric Acid, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Red No. 40, Flavor, Glycerin, Maltitol, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water, Saccharin Sodium, Sodium Benzoate, Sorbitol Solution, Sucralose, Xanthan Gum.

Do not take more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period. Children 6 years to under 12 years: 1-2 teaspoonfuls every 4 hours. Children 4 years to under 6 years: 1/2-1 teaspoonful every 4 hours. Children under 4 years: do not use. Store at 68 degrees F - 77 degrees F (20 degrees C - 25 degrees C).

Ask a doctor before use if the child has: cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus); persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with asthma. Stop use and ask a doctor if cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious condition. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
