CVS Slow Release Iron Supplement

High potency. Once a day. Time released. Gentle to your system. Iron is an essential part of the blood's oxygen delivery system. Iron is also important for energy and proper muscle function. Slow Release Iron tablets are specially formulated to deliver high potency iron in a sustained, time released format over 4 to 6 hours. Made with 160 mg of dried ferrous sulfate, USP, equivalent to 50 mg elemental iron. (These statement have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate, Magnesium Stearate, Hypromellose, Magnesium Silicate, Titanium Dioxide, Polyethylene Glycol, Mineral Oil, Iron Oxide, and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

Adults - Take one tablet up to twice daily or as directed by a physician.

Keep out of reach of children. Store in a dry place and avoid excessive heat. Tamper Resistant: Do not use if blister seal is cut, torn or broken. Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately. Pregnant or lactating women should consult a doctor before using any product. Do not exceed recommended dose. Consult doctor before use if you have a family history of iron overloading anemias or if you are taking any prescription medications. Discontinue use and consult your doctor if any adverse reactions occur, including constipation. This product is not recommended for long term use. Not intended for use by persons under the age of 12.
