For a Galentine’s Day to remember, add one BFF to one classic rom-com, plus two modern manicures. Follow along as Essie shares how to nail each look and ways to make it your own. Bonus: the shades and patterns are so fun, you’ll have inspiration beyond February 14th.
With a detail brush dipped in roses are red, polish playful doodles on each nail. Think heart shapes, x’s and o’s… maybe even your bestie’s initials!
To get the maximum amount of glitter on your brush, roll the polish bottle upside down between your palms for 15 seconds. This helps loosen the glitter at the base of the bottle and brings it right where you want — the brush!
Sweet and Simple Designs
On the ring finger, using #essielove, polish a horizontal line in the middle of the nail. To create the heart shape, polish a smaller line beneath the first, and a smaller one beneath that, to create an upside-down pyramid shape.
To complete the heart, polish two small lines side by side above the original line. Follow this with two more, even smaller, lines above those to create the curves. Finish with gel setter top coat.
For a true minimalist statement, try this design on bare nails for a striking negative-space nail art look.
