My name is Elizabeth and I am a powerlifter. I never saw myself as strong and powerful and being able to do hard things. There's a study that women 65 and older, 45% of them can't lift 10 pounds.
SFX: CYMBAL I'm not that woman anymore.
I started lifting when I was 66, when I tore my meniscus. And my physical therapist told me one day, “We're going to do a deadlift.” I said, “Do you remember how old I am?” And he said, “Yep, that's why we're doing this.”

Oak Street Health is really supportive of my powerlifting and working out. They focus on older people.
