The only medication that works for my RLS
I've tried everything under the sun for RLS. Nothing worked without severe nausea. This is the first medication that works. There is a little bit of nausea but not too much.

vomiting
If I don't have enough and the right kind of food, not a lot of meat, I will often throw up, quite violently. This is the only medication that affects me like this. I really have to monitor what and when I eat to avoid having to void, so to speak. Not my favorite medicine by a long shot!

On time every time!
I am a 41 year old woman with early onset Parkinson's Disease and Dystonia due to being misdiagnosed for over six years. Eventually, PD turns to painful wear down on the body and some patients, like myself, will experience severe dystonic features. Sudden muscle spasms and severe locking. This medication improves the quality of life for people with Parkinson's disease, Parkinsonism, Dystonia and RLS. I cannot stress the importance of not only keeping protein away from your dosage times, but also the importance of taking it on time, or just before your dose is due. There are ON times with this medication and OFF times just before needing your next dose. These windows will decrease over time. The goal for you is to try to keep your body in balance with the medication and communicate effectively with your doctor. Keep a diary of signs and symptoms throughout the day. This can change from day to day and in some cases, hour by hour. Antioxidants are important and supplements such as COQ10 to help with cellular turnover. Always try to conquer any symptoms with strategies such as diet and exercise. If you are just starting to take this medication, it can cause severe nausea, cool your body down with a cold washcloth on the back of your neck and never drive unless you know that you are ON and feeling good about your state of being. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have further questions. L-dopa can cause as may symptoms as the disease itself. However, life is not acceptable without it. Work through your nausea, it took me six months, understand that the 25 100 is a combination of carbidopa levodopa. Carbidopa is for antinausea. If you feel you cannot tolerate 10 100 for example, ask to have the carbidopa increased. This medication is very complicated and will create a life change. It is the only answer that we have now. You are in the fight of your life, so get up and fight!
