Grapefruit juice and Cycloset 0.8mg Tablet(Bromocriptine Mesylate)
Grapefruit juice and Bromocriptine Mesylate(Bromocriptine Mesylate)
Do not take grapefruit juice with bromocriptine without approval from your prescriber. Side effects may get worse if you take grapefruit juice together with bromocriptine. Contact your healthcare provider if you experience new or worsening side effects including confusion, hallucination, loss of contact with reality, falling asleep during normal activities like driving, nausea, tiredness, dizziness, vomiting, and headache.

Alcohol and Bromocriptine Mesylate(Bromocriptine Mesylate)
In general, it is recommended that you limit Alcoholic drinks while you are taking Bromocriptine. Alcohol may increase the risk of side effects due to bromocriptine. Decreased alertness, dizziness, drowsiness, or low blood pressure may occur. Do not drive or operate machinery if you are drinking alcohol-containing beverages.

Let your prescriber know if you are a smoker if you take bromocriptine. It is not quite clear if tobacco smoking or nicotine products used to stop smoking can interact with bromocriptine treatment. Contact your health care provider if you notice any changes in your blood pressure or other effects if you are a smoker or are taking any products to stop smoking and take bromocriptine.
Pregnancy & Lactation Information
First Trimester

Class B - Animal studies have revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus, however, there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.
