What is this Medicine?

HALOPERIDOL (ha loe PER i dole) is used to treat schizophrenia. It is also used to control tics and vocal outbursts in patients with Tourette's syndrome.

Marijuana may increase the risk for relapse or an increase in your mood and behavior symptoms. Marijuana may also interfere with the efficacy of your medication in treating your condition. If you continue to use marijuana, promptly get medical assistance if you experience unusual changes in moods or behaviors of any type. If you are receiving haloperidol to treat vomiting due to Marijuana use, be aware that sedation may occur and you should not drive or operate machinery or perform other hazardous tasks while under the influence of these medications.
