You must avoid alcohol-containing drinks while taking Hydromorphone. Side effects from Hydromorphone may get worse if drink alcohol-containing drinks. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Serious side effects such as excessive sedation, confusion, or difficulty breathing may occur. These effects may depress or stop breathing, cause coma, and even cause death. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how Hydromorphone affects you.
