Do not take Ixabepilone with grapefruit or grapefruit juice. Taking Ixabepilone with grapefruit or grapefruit juice may increase side effects of Ixabepilone. If you accidentally take Ixabepilone with grapefruit or grapefruit juice, immediately tell your doctor about any unusual effects.

Ixabepilone contains a large amount of alcohol. Avoid Alcohol-containing products or beverages on the days you get Ixabelilone, as excessive sedation (difficulty staying alert), dizziness, or difficulty breathing may occur.
