ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards® Program Rules

When you enroll in the ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards® program (the "Program") and accumulate ten credits by purchasing eligible prescriptions or engaging in an eligible activity (as described below) at a CVS Pharmacy® in the U.S., you will receive $5 Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards® (the "Reward") at CVS Pharmacy stores in the U.S. or on CVS.com®. If you earn more than 10 credits, your Reward may not be issued on the same date. You must be a member of the CVS Pharmacy ExtraCare® program to enroll in the Program.

Ways to earn credits toward your Reward include, but are not limited to:

  • Purchasing a 30-day supply of an eligible prescription (1 credit).
  • Purchasing a 90-day supply of an eligible prescription (3 credits).
  • Receiving a flu shot or other vaccination from a CVS pharmacist (3 credits).
  • Enrolling in prescription management services on CVS.com (3 credits).
  • Enrolling a member on your ExtraCare card in the Program (1 credit per enrollment, limited to 5 per ExtraCare card).

CVS Pharmacy may make modifications to this list, including determining that an activity is no longer eligible to earn credits, at any time.

An individual can earn up to $50 Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards in a calendar year in connection with the Program. Rewards balances will be reset on December 31 each year. When individuals join the Program as a family and share an ExtraCare card, their credits will be consolidated and the Reward will be issued when the combined total accumulated consolidated credits is 10. Each individual's earned credits will be separately tracked for purposes of determining annual Reward value. The Reward will be issued to the ExtraCare card associated with the eligible activity that earns the Reward. Credits earned for receiving a flu shot are not counted toward the $50 Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards limit.

For information about your accumulated credits, please check your CVS Pharmacy receipt, your mobile CVS Pharmacy app or call 1-800-SHOP CVS.

At its sole discretion, CVS Pharmacy may designate other activities as eligible for earning Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards as part of the Program. Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards earned for completion of these other activities will be counted toward your $50 annual limit.

The Program is valid only in the U.S. and is not available in Arkansas, New Jersey, New York or where otherwise prohibited by law. Transferred prescriptions may not be eligible to accumulate credits toward your Reward in all states, including Alabama, Mississippi or Oregon. Controlled substance prescriptions purchased in Hawaii, Louisiana or where otherwise prohibited by law are not eligible to accumulate credits toward your Reward.

The Reward will be issued approximately 1 week after it has been earned. Rewards will print on your receipt at CVS Pharmacy retail locations or at the ExtraCare Coupon Center in the CVS Pharmacy retail store. You can also access your Rewards through CVS.com or on the CVS Pharmacy mobile app if you have created an online account and attached your ExtraCare card.

The Reward is valid only at CVS Pharmacy stores in the U.S. and at CVS.com. The Reward must be redeemed on or before any expiration date listed on the coupon, certificate or promotional code.

 

The Reward earned in connection with the Program is subject to the same restrictions on redemption as ExtraBucks® Rewards earned for other CVS Pharmacy programs and cannot be used on purchases of alcohol, lottery tickets, money orders, pseudoephedrine/ephedrine products, postage stamps, pre-paid cards, gift cards, newspapers and magazines, milk (where restricted by law or regulation), bottle deposits, bus passes, hunting and fishing licenses, any imposed governmental fees or taxes, or items reimbursed by a government health plan. Your Reward cannot be used for purchases at affiliated businesses such as MinuteClinic®, Target or CVS Optical™.

CVS Pharmacy at Target customers may request a $5 Target® merchandise coupon (the "Target Coupon") in lieu of receiving ExtraBucks Rewards. The Target Coupon is available at CVS Pharmacy at Target only, provided the Reward has been issued but not yet accessed through CVS.com or the CVS Pharmacy mobile app or printed at a stand-alone CVS Pharmacy store. The Target Coupon is redeemable at Target stores only.*

CVS pharmacy at Schnucks customers will have a $5 Schnucks Shopping Pass print in lieu of receiving ExtraBucks rewards.  The Schnucks Shopping Pass is redeemable at Schnucks stores only, provided the reward has been issued but not yet accessed through CVS.com, the CVS Pharmacy mobile app, or printed at a stand-alone CVS Pharmacy store.  If after successfully earning a reward a Schnucks pharmacy patient visits a CVS Core pharmacy, or a CVS Pharmacy at Target, the patient will receive their reward at that line of business based upon existing program rules.  Additional restrictions for redemption towards eligible Schnucks items may apply, and will be at the discretion of Schnucks business.

Navarro patients may join the Program by enrolling in ExtraCare and Pharmacy and Health Rewards. Navarro patients will receive a $5.00 coupon to be used in Navarro stores (the “Navarro Coupon”) in lieu of receiving ExtraBucks Rewards. The Navarro Coupon is available at Navarro stores only, provided the Reward has been issued but not yet accessed through CVS.com or the CVS Pharmacy mobile app or printed at a stand-alone CVS Pharmacy store. The Navarro Coupon is redeemable at Navarro stores only and the same exclusions apply to the Navarro Coupon as apply to the Reward. Please note that base ExtraCare discounts and offers currently are not available in Navarro stores.

You must sign a Privacy Authorization to join the Program to allow CVS Pharmacy to use and share your personal information to administer the program and send you communications. Obtaining your authorization is required by the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA"), the federal law that creates certain rights for your protected health information, as well as similar state laws in many states. Adults 18 years or older must sign their Privacy Authorization individually, but parents or guardians may sign for children under 18. If you cancel your Privacy Authorization, participation in the Program is terminated and any existing Rewards accumulated purchases will be removed from your ExtraCare program record.

CVS Pharmacy reserves the right to discontinue or alter the terms of this program at any time and for any reason.

*FOR PROGRAM REWARDS: You must enroll in both the ExtraCare® program and the ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards® program to earn $5 in CVS ExtraBucks® Rewards when you earn ten credits. Rewards cannot be earned on any prescriptions purchased in AR, NJ, or NY; any prescriptions transferred to a CVS Pharmacy® in AL, MS, or OR; any controlled substance prescriptions purchased in HI or LA; or where otherwise prohibited by law.
