Family Prescription Management

Managing a minor's prescription records

You can link the prescription records of minors (under age 18) to your prescription account at any time. Having a linked account enables you to view, order and manage your and your children's prescriptions in one view.

To become an Rx Caregiver for a child, you'll need a CVS.com® account, the child's date of birth and information from one of his or her prescriptions.

Sign In to your CVS.com® account, go to the My Account page and click on Family Prescription Accounts in Prescription Center. Click on Add a Minor button. Enter the most recent prescription information for the minor as it appears on his or her CVS/pharmacy prescription label. Enter the child's birth date and click Submit.

We'll use this information to find the child's prescription records and link them to your account. Please note that if the child has not had at least one prescription filled by CVS/pharmacy in the past year, you won't be able to link accounts.

Managing an adult's prescriptions

To become an Rx Caregiver for an adult, you'll need to request access to his or her prescriptions through our secure process.

You'll need a CVS.com® account, your family member's email address and information from one of his or her prescriptions. You'll walk through three easy steps to help verify your identity and then email an authorization request to your family member.

Your adult family member will need to respond to your request and then set up a CVS.com® account, add prescription management and authorize your access.
