She was truly amazing. My 5 year old son and I needed our flu shots. We did not have an appointment. She was able to see us in much less time than anticipated at the kiosk. My son is simply terrified of shots. She was so caring, attentive and good with him. She listened, started small talk to show him things were normal and then explained everything that would happen to put him more at ease. Because of this positive experience, he told me that he only wants to come see her for shots in the future. She is awesome. Five stars. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

Excellent practice site where I brought my two children for a Flu shot. The practitioner took time to reassure them and make them feel as much comfortable as possible. Our medical plan was used and so no extra cost was applied. The hygiene and the safe practices were as expected from an health center and associated caregiver. In addition the online booking make it easy to schedule and we didnt have to wait before our slot. Highly recommend this place

She has safety on mind for everyone. After finishing all administrative work on computer with my information, she put on disposal gloves for my flu shot.

The provider with which I met was absolutely amazing. She was kind and willing to provide me with all the services that I needed, even though i had only made an appointment for a flu shot (which, by the way, was the least painful shot I have ever gotten!) This was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone.

About the Flu (Influenza)

Influenza is an infectious respiratory disease. Generally, the flu may resolve on its own. However, if the flu goes untreated, you may be at risk for complications that can be life-threatening. Those that might be at a higher risk of severe flu complications include children under 5, adults over 65, pregnant women, and people with chronic illnesses or compromised immune systems. If you fall into any of these categories, it is essential that you take strides towards flu prevention by getting your flu shot at MinuteClinic. The flu shot works by exposing you to an inactive flu virus and the flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in the body after vaccination. These antibodies will help to protect you if you are exposed to the flu virus. Essentially, getting a flu shot prepares your body to fight the flu.

Why Get A Flu Shot?

Getting vaccinated helps to protect you and the people around you. Influenza sends a countless number of patients into hospitals each year – don’t be one of them. There are two types of flu shots – a seasonal vaccine for adults and children (preservative-free available, upon request) and a high dose vaccine (for ages 65+). While you can take preventative measures, getting immunized with the influenza vaccine is your best defense against the flu. Each year, new strains of the flu develop. While you may have gotten a flu shot in the past, you may not be protected from the new strands. Although flu vaccines may not be 100% effective, it is still the best defense against the virus.  Don’t fall victim to the flu this year – stop by MinuteClinic and get your flu shot today!
