She is absolutely great! She is an extremely knowledgeable nurse. She is thorough and informative. Sanatized before and after our meeting. She was able to give me script for my blood work so helpful! She also gave me some pamphlets on ''Choosing healthy foods'' that were very helpful. I already changed my diet. As soon as I left CVSI went shopping and took thre information she gave me with me. I cant think her enough. Great job CVS!

I didnt get her name, but the practitioner that helped me was excellent. She went above and beyond to make my five year old comfortable with getting his flu shot, and that was the first time hes gotten a shot and not screamed or cried after. After getting his checkup at his PCP cancelled multiple times, I had come to the MinuteClinic as a last resort, but will definitely keep it in mind in the future, and have already recommended it to other parents.

the APN on staff was exceptional with me and my six year old for flu shots. Best shots weve ever gotten with our kids. She was warm and very skilled at putting kids at ease. Waiting area was under construction, but more info could have been given as to whether or not using the computer to sign in was necessary with an online check-in, and/or if we were supposed to knock when we were there. 10/10 for the provider, but 5/10 for logistics and environment.

I love the kiosk, where I can make appointments and sign in. I find it much easier than trying to use the website. the nurse I saw for my flu shot, is great! Shes helped me on other occasions, too, and always totally professional, very warm and friendly, and everything Im looking for in a clinic medical visit. This time I also made an appointment for my husband, and he was very pleased as well. Though there is remodeling going on at the CVS, and everything was torn up in the waiting area, she explained the upcoming improvements. Very helpful!

About the Flu (Influenza)

Influenza is an infectious respiratory disease. Generally, the flu may resolve on its own. However, if the flu goes untreated, you may be at risk for complications that can be life-threatening. Those that might be at a higher risk of severe flu complications include children under 5, adults over 65, pregnant women, and people with chronic illnesses or compromised immune systems. If you fall into any of these categories, it is essential that you take strides towards flu prevention by getting your flu shot at MinuteClinic. The flu shot works by exposing you to an inactive flu virus and the flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in the body after vaccination. These antibodies will help to protect you if you are exposed to the flu virus. Essentially, getting a flu shot prepares your body to fight the flu.

Why Get A Flu Shot?

Getting vaccinated helps to protect you and the people around you. Influenza sends a countless number of patients into hospitals each year – don’t be one of them. There are two types of flu shots – a seasonal vaccine for adults and children (preservative-free available, upon request) and a high dose vaccine (for ages 65+). While you can take preventative measures, getting immunized with the influenza vaccine is your best defense against the flu. Each year, new strains of the flu develop. While you may have gotten a flu shot in the past, you may not be protected from the new strands. Although flu vaccines may not be 100% effective, it is still the best defense against the virus.  Don’t fall victim to the flu this year – stop by MinuteClinic and get your flu shot today!
