Great product
I love my Britta pitcher, we always have fresh cold water in the fridge. I even use it for the kids animals, taste so much better than tap. And saves money by not having to purchase plastic bottles of water!0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on brita.com - Yes, I recommendZohraReviewed 1 week agoEasy to useOut of 5ScentOut of 5Value Out of 5Meets expectationsOut of 50 users found this review helpful.

Lead removal information lacking
I live in Denver, CO in a building that has not had the pipes replaced for lead removal. The city of Denver has been sending me Brita filters for a couple of years now, as a solution to removing lead from the water. Now that I am checking to make sure that this filter works to remove lead, I am finding nothing. Does this mean the filter does nothing for lead removal? I am annoyed at the lack of available information. There is nothing about lead - yes or no, just radio silence. I will buy the elite filter myself, if I need to do this. Someone needs to explain this to the city of Denver though.Reply from brita.com2 months agoThank you for contacting us, and we're sorry to hear that our Original Filters let you down. Our Original Filters are effective at reducing chlorine for taste and odor, as well as copper, cadmium, and mercury in tap water, but they don't remove lead. We recommend giving our Elite Filter a try. It reduces contaminants, including 99% of lead, chlorine (taste and odor), cadmium, mercury, Class I particulates, asbestos, and benzene. If you'd like to learn more, please call us at 800-242-7482 with #260212-000530. We're here to help.Regards,Alexandrea from The Brita Team0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on brita.com - Yes, I recommendBettyPReviewed 3 months ago
Best feature is the tank I can put in my refrigera
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a Brita tank like pitcher in my refrigerator for I don’t know how many years and because I am diabetic, I drink a lot of water so I fill the tank on a daily basis.I use this water for drinking and for my coffee..I will never stop using my Brita for my water.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on brita.com - Yes, I recommendElizabeth AnneReviewed 4 months agoI purchased my Brita pitcher with filter , just started to notice the water sometimes has a ‘Green’ haze in the bottom of the pitcher ? Love the Pitcher, Filters Not So Much
I have several bones to picked here. I'll try to not take all my frustrations out on 1 company. (1) Why aren't the "PLUS" filters listed here on the main website for your product? No one has noticed this oversight? (2) so, if you buy the "ELITE" filter, it (supposedly) removes lead & other harmful metals. BUT - the water still has cholerine, minerals & tastes like water from the tap. (3) If you buy the white Original or Plus -> this filter is 2x as dense. It's suppose to remove twice the impurities. We shall see. I'm receiving this one today. (4) YOU CAN'T HAVE A FILTER THAT DOES BOTH?!? The term, "elite" implies just that, SUPERIOR filtration. There is activated carbon in the blue elite filters but it doesn't change the water quality one iota. I have a tds water meter. My review: The pitcher is fine. For me, I like the sleek design & colors. I don't understand why all the options aren't offered in all the same colors, but, whatever. Just seems like laziness, to me. The plastic is much thinner & less sturdy than the 1 I replaced, but, sign of the times. Nothing is made well any more. - I purchased a tds water meter when I got this new pitcher bc I wanted to see for myself if the claims & hype, for any water filtration system, held up. I did multiple rounds of testing under several varieties of conditions a d measured different sources of water. WHAT I FOUND: the "ELITE" filters don't not change the tds (total dissolved solids) at all from tap to pitcher. The scale used is '0 - 50' = highly filtered. This is usually alkaline or RO (reverse osmosis). 51 - 150 = Good. this is supposed to be 'avg' tap water. (sure) 151 - 300 = more minerals, contaminated, etc. And it goes up from there. My tap water avgs btwn 170 - 212 or 215. With the blue filter whatever comes out of the tap, is what ends up in the pitcher. The value is exactly the same. VERY DISAPPOINTING. If I wanted to drink tap water, I wouldnt know about Brita products. With the white, Original - the filter does reduce the tds approximately 20 pts and i can sometimes even get into the green on the scale. My RO is 9 - 15. I buy it at Whole Foods from their self-service water dispenser. (Bring your own container.) Thats it. Conclude for yourselves. I find it so confusing as to why 1 filter can't lower contaminates & remove heavy metals. I plan to return the elite filters, if i'm able.Reply from brita.com4 months agoThanks for your candid review of our Brita products, Beth. We pay close attention to all feedback and are sorry to hear they fell short of your expectations. We don't make claims about TDS reduction at Brita, because TDS isn't a measurement of water safety. It is only an aesthetic (taste) measurement. Additionally, TDS is not even an aesthetic measurement everyone wants to reduce, since TDS includes minerals widely considered beneficial, like calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
