We're really sorry to hear you had this experience with our Cascade Platinum ActionPacsTM - Fresh Scent. It must upsetting that the scent was too powerful causing such effect on your health and area. We understand scent is very subjective, and we appreciate you providing us with this feedback, but this is definitely not the type of experience we want you to go through. Check that the dispenser cup is free of obstructions like dishes or utensils to allow the ActionPac to dissolve fully. Ensure the sprayer arms move freely and remove any debris blocking them. Handle the ActionPac with dry hands and make sure the dispenser cup is dry to prevent sticking. Low water pressure can affect cleaning, so run the dishwasher when other water use is low. Test water supply by placing an empty cup on the top rack during a cycle—if filled, water supply is sufficient. Water temperature should be at least 120°F (49°C); running hot water at the sink before starting helps. Always follow the dishwasher’s user instructions. If an ActionPac doesn’t dissolve completely, clean any residue thoroughly before using another. Now, if your Cascade ActionPacs are hard, do not shake or squeeze them, and avoid attempts to soften them. To prevent hardening, store the pacs in a cool, dry place—avoid storing under the sink where it's warm and humid—and always close the container tightly to keep out moisture.
