Bought Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen 30 SPF - has great reviews but I had the color transferred to my clothes, hands. Waited a few hour and it still kept getting on everything. Used a washcloth to wash off. It was a mess. I use all CeraVe products from cleanser to moisturizer as my dermatologist recommended. No purple tint!
This is my go-to sunscreen. I love that it's mineral-based, so I don't have to worry about harsh chemicals, but since mineral sunscreens always leave that gross purple sheen, the tint in this makes it my holy grail! Lightweight mineral SPF with a natural tint and real hydration.
This mineral sunscreen feels light and breathable on the skin, no heavy or greasy residue like a lot of other SPFs. The sheer tint gives a nice natural coverage that blends in easily and - matches the Light shade well. I love that it's packed with hydrating ingredients, so it doubles as moisturizer and sun protection in one step. The packaging is simple and easy to squeeze out just the right amount. Can't do without!
My very first CeraVe product ever used. Now I won’t be without it! Goes on like a foundation, but protects my skin from sun damage. And I’m not getting any younger. Sunscreen Works but Greasy
Bought this to wear in summer in lieu of foundation. I liked the idea of a tinted sunscreen and I already use Cerave face washes. Howver, this was way too sticky and oily feeling. It doesn't really soak into the skin and sits on top making me looking greasy. If I only apply a tiny amount to avoid getting greasy, I don't get enough tint or sun coverage and if I apply enough for the sun and tint, I look like a greaseball. I think there are other options out there that do this better. If they could just fix the greasy factor, it would be a win! Otherwise, the price and size are in par for Cerave. Because this is a 100% mineral sunscreen, it forms a protective barrier on top of the skin, which can sometimes feel rich. We suggest to warm a small amount between your fingertips before gently massaging it into the skin helps it absorb more evenly. A pass for me.

Mineral filters can sometimes require a little extra technique during application, and a helpful tip is to dispense a small amount onto your fingertips, rub them together gently to warm the product, and press it into the skin rather than rubbing vigorously to help it sheer out more evenly.
