I bought the coral sands color. I will say if you are blonde the color doesnt at all show up like whats on the box, i cant speak for those with darker hair. This box dye definitely lightens hair and is more blonde than "coral." Luckily I already had red tones in my hair so it made it more "coral." In my opinion its more of a blonde with dusty rose hints. Overall not made, it definitely helped blend my over grown roots. Save Yourself the Trouble Just Don't Buy it.
Although it's advertised right on the box as 100% gray coverage it does not cover gray. I followed the directions exactly as stated. Not only didn't it cover the gray but the color is way off. My hair turned out a very dark brown not even close to golden brown. I don't see the promised color dimension as advertised. After washing my hair and finishing Clariol's bonding conditioner, I am using a daily hair mask because this product is drying to you hair. This is the worst home hair dye product I have ever used. I am sticking with Excellence by Loreal moving forward. Best advice is just don't buy it. My question to Clariol is, during the testing phase didn't these issues come up? This is not the experience we want you to have, nor what we would expect. Using a clarifying shampoo, followed by a deep conditioner, can sometimes help fade the unwanted color more quickly. We also suggest that you avoid using heat (e.g., blow dryers, curling irons), which can further set the color. If the clarifying shampoo does not lift out enough of the color, please call to speak with one of our hair color experts! Great if you like a mix of platinum & lavender 🤬
My hair is naturally curly and a dirty blond with a bit of greys popping in. Thought I'd try a new brand and liked that its ammonia free. But this product is THE WORST hair color I've ever tried! Followed the directions to a T (been coloring my own hair for decades). The roots and 1st 3-4" of my hair is LAVENDER tinged and the rest of the color is way too light, not even close to what was pictured on the box. ZERO AMONIA=NO LIGHTENING EFFECT
THIS COLOR SHOULD COME WITH WARNING THAT IT WILL NOT LIGHTEN HAR!!!!!. Yes it does moisturizing and shine and adds healing, but it is NOT MEANT TO LIGHTEN OR CHANGE... Amazing Amazing.
I was hesitant to try because my hair was porous and dry. There's possibility hair is blotchy or comes darker since I need protein in my ends. This product worked perfect. I placed on roots first so it would darken, then less time on my fried ends and voila'! It made my ends healthier and shiny and the color even. Its a very exotic shade and it does show different even in a dark shade. I highly suggest to prevent mess up ake sure and do roots first if your har is daaged, because the color will take fast in the weaker and porous hair. Different color than pictured
I have dark brown hair and wanted to try something lighter, however, this left my hair looking black. I was so shocked and upset because this is the fist time I have ever dyed my hair. It also left it super dry! The company needs to figure out the coloring because the results are drastically different than the box shows.Reply from Clairol2 months agoHi there!
