I had hand surgery and this is great!
I had hand surgery and this product is great for scars. I will be using this product for a few months. I go from liquid to the tape during the day. My palm looks very good after operation of 6 weeks ago. Buy it. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this alternative to the original Scar Away, a silicone based product that inhibits collagen production on scars. I purchased this CVS product to save on money and regret it: The dispenser, a non recylable plastic is handy but doesn't contain much of the ointment; the strips for covering the scar are terrible and don't stick for long in contrast to those by Scar Away, which are sturdier and last for over eight hours. Sorry, this one is barely a star. Sheets work fine, the gel, not as much
The silicone sheets seem to be working, even after only a week- the scar seems flatter, but I do need to put a bandaid over it to make sure it stays in place on my wrist, which gets a lot of movement, The gel remains sticky, even if I try to put a light layer on, so I stopped using it, so I feel like i was paying for something I didn't use. Amazing Stuff!
I really wasn’t sure whether or not this would work. I had a scar about 3 to 4 inches long after having surgery on my foot. After about two months, it still wasn’t going away and I toyed with the idea of purchasing this. I’m so glad I did! After about a month and a half my scar is down to about 1 1/2 to 2 inches And I believe in the next couple months it will be barely noticeable. I’m so glad I took the leap of faith and purchased this. It was a little pricier than I had hoped, but in the end, it was totally worth it.{{userCount} users found this review helpful.
