    Fair Application

Already had this product in older form but forgot. Needed to spend my bonus. It's just fair.

    Excellent

I tried all three ways to use it and it works wonderfully. For brows and eyeshadow, I use a light amount for a natural look. For eyeliner, I use more. Let it dry to make sure it doesn't smudge.

    Finally found a replacement!q

I used to use Avon's liner cream but I don't order from them any longer. When I came across this liner in the pot from elf, it was a dream come true and I was hoping it worked as good as the Avon brand - it does! I hope this item sticks around because it's hard to find an eye liner in a pot. I use it as a base and then lock it in with a liquid eye liner pen.

    Great stuff

I absolutely love the brow and eyeliner. I put it on my inner bottom line. I think that’s the water line. It stays at least 6 hours. I am 60. I use to use eyeliner on my inner bottom eye when I was younger. I started looking for a liner that would stay for years. It’s took a good 20 years to find this. Nobody makes it anymore that will stick to your inner eye. I love it!

    Awful, definitely doesn’t stay put

Worst product. It’s advertised as an eyeliner as well, but within a couple of hours it had smudged all over my eyelids on its own. It has zero staying power. So disappointed. It wipes right off. So definitely not waterproof or long lasting.

    versatile and easy to use

I use a soft, short-bristled angled brush to use this cream like a brow pencil. For approximately 27 thousand years, I used the e.l.f. eyebrow duo palettes that had one pan of pigmented cream/wax and one pan of...what even was it? Apparently, I never used it. I think it was a light translucent powder for setting the pigment cream. The duo also came with a tiny double-ended brush, with one angled, stiff-bristled side for the cream/wax and one rounded soft-bristled end for the powder. Since the duos have been discontinued, it's no surprise that this product (the one I'm reviewing here) is a lot like the other one. (The old one was probably an A------a dupe, fwiw.) Since you choose your application tool(s), you can go as heavy or as light as you want. The cream is pretty workable for a minute or two ime, so I can do a first pass of my entire eyebrow and then go around smoothing all the oopses off just with my fingers. I like not having to correct as I go so that I can get the "sculptor" effect of finishing up by taking some product away when I've applied a little too much on purpose. It wears pretty well under ordinary conditions. It can still wear off after it "sets," but slowly, I think. Not in a way that usually transfers noticeably, ime. I use the medium shade for my brows. Due to the way this shade (maybe all of them) reflects light, from certain specific angles in direct light, the color is less visible. Kind of like a satin finish. (I think if it had a true matte finish, it would look super weird as a quotidian brow product!) I will say that this is really only something I notice *while* doing my eyebrows, under direct light -- not while I'm living my life. But it does help me appreciate products that work more like mascara that can make the hairs themselves more pigmented and noticeable. I should try this on a spoolie! I haven't used it as eyeliner yet, but I'm planning to try the deepest shade soon b/c it seems like it might be more comfortable to wear than something more paint-y.

Recently bought this, and love how creamy it is and glides right on.
