- Yes, I recommendCharlie EconomicsReviewed 6 years agoFor those that don't understand economics, the reason their price went up is simple supply and demand. The manufacturer sets the price and the retailer has to pay that price or not offer the product. Walgreens had more in stock at the original lower price so no price changed. Today, it cost more to ship, takes longer and cost more to produce because the shortage of labor and goods. Don't blame CVS, blame HealthSmart for jacking up the price.{{userCount} users found this review helpful.
