I gave this a 3 star because of the color. Everything else about the product would be a 5. My medium brown hair is almost all gray now and I've been frosting it with the Petite Frost kit in the lightest blonde shade loving the results but hating the process. I decided on Excellence due to the reviews. I didn't want a platinum blonde as I guess I already have that. I wanted a pale yellow shade not a golden or reddish shade. Not sure the color I chose but honestly I hate the color. It's a dark strawberry blonde which doesn't go with me at all. Now I'm not sure what color to choose to remedy this. I'm pretty sure I'll bite the bullet and color test it and if I don't like it toss snd buy a different one. I was hoping to not have to do the cap thing anymore.Reply from L'Oreal1 day agoHi SuziQue! This shade is recommended for hair that is naturally light brown, dark blond and medium blonde. Haircolor does not lighten the same as a frosting kit. Make sure it's right for your hair

Color doesn’t stay the same
I used to like this product a lot and the color would stay the same till the next dye. But, now after first wash the color just becomes lighter and lighter all the time. Terrible
I tried both preference and excellence hair color. This used to be a good product. Unfortunately, since you changed the way its made, they are both horrible! They fade after the first wash, and with my medium color, I went to a very light brown washed out color in 1 week! Terrible! The color no longer lasts.Reply from L'Oreal2 weeks agoHi Gloria! Enjoyed very much

There are pros and cons

A large tube of conditioner was included which is always a bonus. There was no strong smell to the dye which is always a plus. It's not drying. The cons, I don't feel that it dyed the stubborn gray hairs and as time has gone by my hair has turned lighter.Reply from L'Oreal3 weeks agoHi HollyW! Change in a box

It work good at my wisdom streaks coverage.I would and have recommended Excellence by Loreal at home hair dye to my family and friends. I like inches box gives you an added product as a pre treatment for ends of hair. The dye isn't smelly. The conditioner has a good acent.
