I turned 65 and wished to go salt and pepper naturally, but greatly disliked the color line and regrowth discoloration. And No matter what salon I went to for salt and pepper hair color transformation. I always got a botched up hair cut, and hair color. Extremely Frustrated and bankrupt, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I bleached my hair to the lightest I can get. Searched for hair colors closest to what might come closest to salt and pepper color. I purchased the L’Oréal Multi Faceted Shimmering Permanent Hair Color S1 Smoky Silver. It’s still not salt and pepper, but is close to it. The only issue is the color dose change to a dingy yellow color, I tried a purple deep conditioning mask, and it was never the same as when I first used the dye. Its a bonus for anyone with silver or gray strands: My silver strands picked up the blue tone " a beautiful moonstone blue" I wanted that to happen. Its like moonstone strands woven right in the light. LOVE IT! It color the rest of my hair the true color on the box. That said, if your hair is mostly light or white and you don't want blue tones all over, this not be your best pick. The lighter strands will definitely pick up that blue. Still so pretty on lighter hair if you into shades of blue. No color blue on the market like it for lighter hair. Cosmic Azure is gorgeous
Cosmic Azure I LOVE IT! It's a gorgeous shade of blue! I think it works best with hair that is dark when you start if you want a deeper hue. But I think lighter hair will just produce a lighter brighter shade.
