    Loreal Red spray cover up

My hair grows fast, like 3/4-1 inch evert 4 weeks. This product works fantastic between the temporary hair applications at my hair salon. I don’t understand the negative feedback which is opposite of my experience; and I have used this for many years. It drys fast. Does not rub off on hands, pillows hands etc once dry. Blends so well, that the growth of grey hair is undetectable. Doesn't come off until I shampoo, and even then it takes two soap ups to remove. I use the color Red. I wish it were less expensive, however, one bottle lasts months for me. You have a fan here!

Beware of running fingers through hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product covers grey well. The problem begins when I mindlessly run my fingers through my hair & end up with product under my fingernails and on tips of fingers. Even worse, when thereafter- I touch my face & a stranger tells me that I have something black all over my face.

Hi SavannahW! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us about Magic Root Cover Up Spray. We are so glad to hear that the product is doing a great job covering your grays, but we are truly sorry to hear about the transfer issue. To help minimize transfer and to get the best results, we recommend: Using your hair dryer set to low to dry and set the product. Keep the airflow on cool (heat isn't usually necessary and can sometimes affect the formula). Hold the dryer a safe distance from your hair. After drying, try gently blotting your hair with a clean, dark towel or tissue to remove any excess surface pigment before going about your day. We value your feedback and want to ensure you have a great experience with our products. Please feel free to reach out to our customer care team directly so we can assist you further!

    Bring back old formula please

I do not like what ever you’ve done with this hair color. The dark can I had was GREAT and this new color light blue can is horrible!! I will not be buying again the color is horrible and it’s a hot mess!

Hello Stacey! We are so sorry to hear that the updated packaging and performance of L&#39;Oreal Paris Magic Root Cover Up did not meet your expectations and left you disappointed with the result. A helpful tip when applying temporary root color is to shake the can thoroughly and hold it about six inches away from dry hair, using light, short bursts to build coverage smoothly without any heavy buildup. We truly appreciate you sharing your candid feedback with us, and your thoughts regarding the packaging update have been shared directly with our product development team. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/Loreal.png" alt="Loreal" title="Loreal" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" /> <!--[if ReviewResponse]><![endif]-->

Changed your formula? Change it back!

I've used this stuff for years, but it's only recently that it comes off on my hands and pillows and anything that touches my hair even a DAY after applying it. It used to dry and stay put. Now my fingers are always black from just running my fingers through it to check my hair throughout the day. So frustrating.

    It works...kind of.

It works when you actually get product in the can. Lately they have been stingy with the amount of paint in the can, most of the time it just sprays clear liquid and no dye no matter how much you shake it or what angle you hold it at. The dye itself has an oily feel that is rather unpleasant so you have to find a balance of getting it to actually color and not making your scalp look greasy. It also comes off easily like it never really dries all the way, very often it smears on my pillow cases, even if I applied it in the morning, and I wake up looking like Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder.

The product did color, the after was horrible.

The color was all over my fingers every time I touched my scalp. My hair got wet in the rain, my face was full of color so embarrassing.
