No pad included anymore?
I just replaced this powder and found there is no longer a pad for applying it! What the heck? Now I read that the reformulation is not good either.Reply from L'Oreal1 month agoHello! Thank you for sharing your feedback on our True Match Super-Blendable Powder. We completely understand that noticing a change in both your favorite formula and finding the applicator missing can be a disappointing surprise. As part of our commitment to sustainability and modern design, we recently updated our compact to a sleeker, plastic-reducing packaging that no longer includes the sponge applicator. While we updated the formula to offer our most advanced, seamless blendability, we have shared your specific concerns regarding the texture and the missing pad directly with our development team for future evaluations. We hope you find a perfect match that makes you feel absolutely confident on your beauty journey!Regards,LeCare{{userCount} users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - sunnyReviewed 2 months ago
not good
I agree with Sarah in Los Angeles the new version of this is not worth buying...loved the old but will not repurchase...moving onReply from L'Oreal Paris2 months agoHello there Sunny, thank you so much for your honest feedback, and for being such a wonderful supporter of our original True MatchSuper-Blendable Powder. We are so incredibly sad to hear that the new version did not live up to the standard you loved, and we completely understand how disappointing it is when a favorite product changes. Your feedback is so important, and we are sharing your thoughts directly with our product development team!Regards, consumer care center{{userCount} users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - SarahReviewed 2 months ago
No coverage. Hard texture.
True Match Powder Foundation used to be the gold standard. I’m talking holy grail status — the kind of product you don’t even think about replacing because it just works. I’ve been loyal to it for over 15 years, which says everything. The finish was smooth, the coverage was buildable yet natural, and it blended effortlessly into the skin. It was reliable, consistent, and honestly hard to beat. But this new reformulated version? Completely different story — and not in a good way. The texture feels noticeably harder and almost chalky, making it difficult to pick up any product on a brush or even with your fingers. When I swatch it, there’s barely any pigment payoff. It lacks the coverage that made it so dependable before — it honestly feels more like children’s play makeup than a high-quality foundation. What’s most frustrating is that no one asked for this change. The original formula wasn’t broken, so why “fix” it? Reformulating a longtime favorite and ending up with something that performs worse is incredibly disappointing, especially for loyal customers who trusted the product for years. Sadly, this isn’t something I’ll be repurchasing. It’s just not the same product anymore, and definitely not worth it.Reply from L'Oreal2 months agoHello! LOVE This Powder!!!
I have very dry skin that often feels tight and this is the only powder I use on my face. It gets rid of the shine without drying or tightening my skin. It also looks really pretty when I put it on and goes on really smooth. It comes in a wide variety of colors. I’m pretty fair and often can’t find a match for my skin tone. I’m able to get an exact match and another one that is a close 2nd. LOVE IT!{{userCount} users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - LinaReviewed 3 months ago
Don't bother! Useless!
This new powder product is very disappointing! To call it a foundation is laughable. It doesn't cover any blemishes or uneven skin tone. If this is their replacement for their TruMatch Mineral powder then they have made a very bad choice. The TruMatch Mineral powder was their best matte product ever used by many, including myself, for over 20 years.Reply from L'Oreal Paris3 months agoHi there Lina, thank you so much for being such a loyal fan of True Match for over 20 years—that truly means the world to us. We’re so sorry to hear that this powder didn’t provide the coverage you were expecting. Your feedback is incredibly important, and we’ll be sharing your comments with our product team. Meanwhile, for a powder with greater coverage, take a look at the Infallible Up to 24H Fresh Wear Foundation in a Powder. It’s weightless texture gives full coverage and a natural, matte finish and can be applied dry or wet. https://www.lorealparisusa.com/makeup/face/face-powder/infallible-up-to-24h-fresh-wear-in-a-powder-matte-finishRegards,consumer care center{{userCount} users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - JJF89Reviewed 3 months ago
Horrible in comparison to True Match Mineral
I used to use True Match Mineral loose powder. It was perfect. This does not give the same coverage and for my skin it's oily. Please reconsider the discontinuation of the old product. I've been getting by, finding the loose powder online but that won't work forever. I'm now moving on to other brands because the powder compacts like this and liquid foundations are horrible for my skin. I need a loose powder with good coverage. You had the perfect product and got rid of it.Reply from L'Oreal Paris3 months agoHello there JJF89, we hear you loud and clear! There is nothing like finding that one 'perfect' product, and we’re so sorry the transition hasn’t worked for your skin. Your feedback about coverage and oiliness is incredibly helpful, and we’re passing it straight to our creative team to show them why the old formula was so loved. Thank you for letting us know how much it meant to your routine!Regards, consumer care center{{userCount} users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - SamanthaReviewed 4 months ago
Miss the old formula
I would like to join the chorus asking for the old formula. This was the perfect powder that did not irritate my skin and also matched my skin tone. Since coconut oil has been added to the formula, I break out in acne every time I wear it. I am begging for a formulation with a non comodogenic oil!Reply from L'Oreal3 months agoHello! New powder shades do not match
I used L'Oreal true match gentle mineral makeup, loose powder in shade W6-7 sun beige. Since L'Oreal got rid of that, I switched to the L'Oreal true match blendable powder, but none of the new powders come close to their old w6-7 sun beige color. It matched my skin perfectly and I wish they would bring back their loose powder in the original shades. I tried their new shade in W6, W7, N5, N6, and N7 none of them come close to their original W6-7 sun beige color nor do the new powders apply and cover like their loose powder.Reply from L'Oreal2 months agoHello! Thank you for sharing your feedback on our True Match Super-Blendable Powder. We understand how disappointing it is when a longtime favorite shade and formula is no longer available. We appreciate you letting us know that the current shades and finish have not compared to your original Sun Beige, and we have shared your comments with our team for review. As another option, we invite you to explore the shades in our Infallible Up to 24H Fresh Wear Foundation in a Powder to see if you may find a better match and finish for your needs.
