Looks like I am echoing a lot of other consumers in my desire to have the old product back (Mineral Power Powder). Dreadful packaging - lovely powder.
The powder is excellent - soft, gentle and easy to apply - good coverage. The new packaging is just awful!! It makes it difficult to access the good product. The square shape is awkward to use and cannot be opened to access the remnants of product at the end. Additionally, there is now no powder puff provided - perhaps because of the square shape. The little round hole inside is too small to take a powder puff. I am breaking open square boxes to decant product to use in my remaining round containers. No pad supplied anymore to apply powder!!
I have been using Maybelline loose powder for many years because it has been the best powder that I’ve tried. It goes on and stays on great! My 2 star rating is for the new packaging. I am very disappointed in their new container design. First off, having holes instead of being able to have a whole open container is a pain! You have to shake it a bunch to make sure you have powder out to use and if you didn’t shake enough you have to screw lid back on and shake again. It makes way more of a mess causing you to waste some of the powder. And another thing that is extremely irritating to me is that it no longer comes with a pad to apply it with. I do NOT want to apply with a brush! The packaging they had was working perfectly fine for decades, so why change to something worse!!! Extremely dissatisfied and if I can’t find a pad to apply it with I will have to find a new brand that does supply pad with the powder, but I really like this powder as I have tried other brands over the years so I am really hoping that Maybelline will change their packaging instead!!!!Reply from Maybelline1 year agoHi there! The sifter is meant to limit spills and waste but we can see the shape is not working for the brush you love to use and we certainly get wanting to use all the powder that comes in the jar! FitMe products SUCK!!! Bring back Mineral Power!!!
I HATE the new FitMe collection!!! I've tried using the powder as a standalone (as I had done for years with the Mineral Power) AND tried pairing with the foundation, and it absolutely sucks! The powder doesn't cover a darn thing and the foundation is hard to spread evenly, as it just wants to sit in your pores and is too thin everywhere else. I bought 2 different kinds of the FitMe foundation, I haven't noticed a difference to either, but they're both definitely junk. I've also bought 2 containers of the FitMe powder, as I assumed it would've been similar or better than the Mineral Power that I haven't been finding in the store, and all 4 FitMe products I've bought are now in the garbage where they belong. It was an INCREDIBLY POOR decision to discontinue the Mineral Power!!!! BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!Reply from maybelline.com1 year agoHey Jessica! Disappointed
This powder looked skin color in store, it's not; its a burnt Orange color. It makes you look ten years older and like you have a fake 1970s spray on tan. Had to wash my face off it looked so bad. I am so disappointed. I will go back to cheap stuff it's closer to natural skin color.Reply from Maybelline2 years agoHello Change777!
