Hi there! We’re so sorry for the frustration! While the casing looks like plastic, this pencil is not a twist-up—it is designed to be sharpened just like a wooden pencil. Here is how to get a fresh tip: Use a cosmetic sharpener: A standard office sharpener will damage the pencil. Freeze it first: Pop the pencil in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before sharpening to harden the creamy formula and prevent breaking. Turn slowly: Shave it gently; the plastic casing will peel away like wood to reveal a new point.
