Hi there! We are so sorry to hear that our Jumbo Eye Pencil caused so much frustration and ended up in the trash! Because this pencil is designed to be ultra-creamy and double as a blendable eyeshadow, it does not "self-set." Without setting it, natural skin oils can easily cause it to slide and smear. For the best results with this creamy formula: Prime first: Apply an eyeshadow primer to block natural skin oils. Apply lightly: Use a thin layer and blend it out with your finger. Lock it with powder: This is the key step! Press a matching powder eyeshadow or translucent powder directly on top to instantly lock the cream in place. If you prefer an eyeliner that dries down completely on its own and is 100% smudge-proof without any extra steps, we highly recommend trying our Epic Wear Liner Sticks instead!

Because these pencils have an ultra-creamy, moisturizing formula, they can occasionally transfer if you have oily eyelids or if they are applied too heavily. To prevent transferring and keep the pigment looking rich and vibrant all day, we highly recommend prepping your lids with an eyeshadow primer beforehand, or locking the cream in place by gently patting a matching powder eyeshadow or translucent setting powder right on top. Hello Srwood! We’re sorry for the confusion. Our Jumbo Eye Pencil is a sharpenable pencil and does not twist up. Once the tip wears down, it can be sharpened with a cosmetic pencil sharpener for continued use.
