[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like the NYX Face Glue primer because I’d heard so much hype about how well it grips makeup and keeps it in place all day. The texture feels interesting at first—kind of tacky in a way that seems like it should help foundation stick better—and it does initially help makeup apply smoothly. However, it just didn’t work well for me in real use. After applying, I found that my makeup didn’t sit as nicely as expected and started to feel a bit uncomfortable throughout the day. Instead of giving a flawless long-wear finish, it ended up feeling heavy and didn’t really improve the overall look or longevity of my makeup the way I hoped. Overall, it might work for some people, especially those with oily skin who like a very strong grip, but for me it was disappointing and not something I would repurchase.Reply from NYX Professional Makeup2 weeks agoHi there HannahM, Thank you for sharing yours experience (and pic) with the FACE GLUE GRIPPING PRIMER. It is a shame this primer didn't live up to the hype for you. While "gripping" primers are designed to hold onto foundation, that same sticky texture can feel heavy or like a thick mask on drier skin, which explains the discomfort you felt by the end of the day. Nyx never disappoints

You should always put some type of serum or moisturizer before applying your makeup in order for it to look good and seamless . Long lasting.

Helps my makeup a lot

Yuck
