It takes more time if you are using with the clip on. It’s better to use a regular trimmer, that is way faster. Even the trimmed beard is not even, it looks bad. Very convenient and efficient.

However, I've learned to maneuver the blade around my beard and I'm very satisfied with results. No messy shave butter and a razor, with occasional nicks. After falling off the bathroom counter ONE TIME (maybe a height of 3 feet?) it bricked completely. No longer powers on… just dead. Used it usually twice a week for just over 4 months - so seldom the original blade it came with was still working well.
