Thought these smelled off and then read the label. No ingredients listed. So what exactly is an antimicrobial layer and why do I need to keep q tips fresh??? Less cotton on the swabs

Dangerous tips
I bought my annual supply of QTips & I have found your product's tip to be poorly wrapped w/cotton which causes painful experiences. Qtips- what's happened?
I used to love Qtips. Nothing else compared to them. Use them everyday on different things. But I just bought a box & they are horrible. They're like the no name ones now. The sticks aren't as hard anymore. They bent like the knockoffs ones. And they don't have as much cotton on the end anymore. They're garbage!! I could've bought the no name ones & saved myself a couple bucks & got the same quality. I don't know what I'm going to use now!!!! I'm not happy...they're just Qtips. Last 6-8 Months (Q-Tips)
I Love Q-Tips and have only purchased this brand (Q-Tips) for as long as I can remember and I am 54 years old, it's been a generational thing in my family :) However, in the last 6-8 months approximately, whenever it was when they redesigned the box they come in, I have found many of them have a quite thicker then normal end and on another, barely any cotton at all.. Changed for the worse
Q tip has changed their swabs, they now have less cotton on the tip and the sticks are now so flimsy they practically fold in have while you are using them. Quality changed
Been using qtips my whole life and I'm 40 years old and all of a sudden the last few boxes I've gotten have been such horrible quality that I had to switch to a cheap off brand instead that ended up being better quality. They are so flimsy they bend if you try and do anything with them. I can't clean my ears or do my makeup at all with them because they bend instantly if you put pressure on them. It was never like this before so they obviously tried to go cheap on their materials but now they aren't even usable. I switched to an off brand which ended up being better quality and half the price.
