What services does this CVS offer?

Springfield, with its abundant natural spaces and walkable downtown area, is one of the most picturesque places to live (or visit) in the Southern Willamette Valley. You may have come here for your first whitewater rafting experience on the McKenzie River or to fish the Willamette. Maybe you’re a road-tripper exploring what America’s West Coast has to offer on the roughly 640-mile scenic stretch between Portland and San Francisco.

Springfield residents and visitors have many options for maintaining their health, from staying active at the indoor water park to eating well at the year-round farmers market or following in the footsteps of long-distance runner and Olympic athlete Steve Prefontaine by going for a run on Pre’s Trail. Whether you’re here to work or learn at the University of Oregon or you’re a full-time resident, CVS Pharmacy® on Gateway Street has all the pharmacy services you need.

Our pharmacy is conveniently located inside Target

We want to make your life as easy as possible, whether you have prescriptions to pick up every month or only once in a while, so we’re located inside Target at the Shoppes at Gateway. There’s plenty of parking here near Interstate 5 and Harlow Road. The abundance of retail stores, as well as entertainment and dining options, at the Shoppes at Gateway makes it easy for you to stop by the pharmacy while you’re out running other errands or enjoying a day off with friends and family. You may even be visiting the dentist or getting your hair and nails done. Either way, we’re just a short walk away.

Manage your prescriptions on the go

For the most flexibility in managing your medications, create a personal CVS.com account and download the CVS Pharmacy® mobile app. From there, you can transfer prescriptions, manage automatic refills, set up daily medication reminders and check your order history. You can also see how close you are to earning your next ExtraCare® rewards or find a pharmacy near you. If you’ve found a pill you can’t identify or are wondering about potential drug interactions, our app and website can help you with that, too.

Update your birth control

Times change and the contraception method that was right for you a few years ago may not be right today. If you want a change and haven’t been able to see your regular doctor, come to our CVS Pharmacy® counter and talk with a pharmacist. After a brief consultation, they can write a script. Contact the pharmacy to confirm the consultation fee.

  • The evaluation includes discussion of contraception methods and blood pressure measurement.
  • Prescriptions can be written for up to one year of refills
  • Women 17 and under must provide proof of a previous contraception script from a medical professional.
  • No appointment is necessary.

Your insurance plan may cover all or some of the prescription cost. A visit summary will be sent to your primary doctor. If you don’t have a local doctor, a list of healthcare providers will be available.

Come in to the pharmacy today

If you have a prescription to pick up or drop off, you’ll be glad to know that we’re here and ready to serve you seven days a week. Did you know that our location also offers a walk-in flu clinic to keep you up-to-date on your flu vaccine? No appointment is necessary, so you can stop in whenever it’s convenient for you, even on the way home from work or school.

Influenza isn’t the only thing we administer immunizations for, either. Some of our other walk-in vaccines include shingles and pneumonia. Our in-pharmacy shots are only for adolescents and adults, but we do have a wide range of options, including meningitis, chicken pox and MMR. Call us at 541-741-1547 to find out whether you need an appointment for any of these services. Otherwise, stop by and see us anytime during our open hours. Our knowledgeable pharmacists are happy to answer your medication-related questions.
